Cookie Policy

In short: Contactor uses cookies and similar storage to run the site, keep you signed in and protect against abuse. Analytics load only if you allow them. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not use Firebase Analytics, and we do not sell your data.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We also use similar browser storage — localStorage, sessionStorage and IndexedDB — for the same purposes. In this policy “cookies” means all of these technologies together.
They let us remember your session and settings, keep you signed in, protect the platform from abuse, and — with your consent — measure how the site is used.
2. How Contactor uses them
We group storage into four categories: strictly necessary (including functional preferences), preferences, analytics and marketing.
Strictly necessary storage runs automatically because the site cannot work without it. Analytics and marketing stay switched off until you opt in. On your first visit a banner lets you Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customize each category.
3. Categories
Strictly necessary — security, sign-in (Firebase Authentication), bot/abuse protection (reCAPTCHA v3 / Firebase App Check) and your language/city choice. Always on; no consent required.
Preferences — convenience storage such as your recent searches. Optional.
Analytics — anonymous, aggregated usage measurement. Off until you allow it.
Marketing — advertising/tracking tools. We use none today; the category is a placeholder that stays off unless you ever opt in.
4. Managing your consent
Use the button above, or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, to open the preferences panel and Accept all, Reject non-essential, or toggle individual categories. Strictly necessary stays on because the site depends on it.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking everything may break sign-in, favourites and sending requests.
5. Third-party providers
Google / Firebase — authentication (sign-in sessions), security and abuse prevention (App Check with reCAPTCHA v3), and image delivery (Firebase Storage / Google Cloud). These are necessary for the service and may set their own storage under Google’s privacy policy.
Vercel — hosting and Vercel Web Analytics. Analytics loads only after you allow the analytics category.
We do NOT use Firebase Analytics, and we use no advertising or marketing pixels (no Google Tag Manager, Meta/Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, PostHog, Mixpanel or similar). Fonts are self-hosted, so no third-party font requests are made.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy — for example when we add a service or the law changes. The date at the top reflects the latest version. Significant changes will be surfaced on the site.
