Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026 · Contactor
By accessing or using Contactor, including in Guest Mode, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Contactor.
1. Service Description
Contactor is a digital marketplace for event-service contractors and clients. Contactor allows users to discover contractors; search and filter listings; view contractor profiles, photos, and PDF files; save favorites and personal notes; view and create reviews and ratings; reply to reviews (contractors); contact contractors through requests and direct contact; create and manage contractor listings; upload portfolio materials; report profiles or reviews; receive notifications; use referral and invite features; and manage account settings. Contactor is available through a mobile application, a web platform, related websites, and administration and moderation tools. Contactor does not provide event services itself; contractors provide their own services independently.
2. Platform Role and Marketplace Disclaimer
Contactor is a marketplace platform that connects users. Contactor is not a party to any agreement, contract, booking, negotiation, communication, or dispute between users and contractors. Contactor does not guarantee the quality, legality, safety, availability, pricing, or outcome of contractor services. Users are responsible for their own communications, agreements, and real-world interactions, and for evaluating contractors before hiring them. Contractors are responsible for the content they publish and the services they provide. Any agreement between a client and a contractor is solely between those users.
3. What Contactor Is Not
Contactor is only a platform that helps users find and contact each other. Contactor is not, and does not act as:
• an employer of any contractor;
• an agency or representative of any contractor;
• a booking guarantor;
• an insurer;
• an escrow provider;
• a payment processor;
• a legal representative of contractors.
Contactor does not employ, supervise, direct, or control contractors, and listing on the platform does not create any employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship.
4. Contractor Responsibilities
Contractors are solely responsible for:
• the services they provide and their quality;
• their pricing;
• their availability and scheduling;
• their communication with clients;
• any contracts they enter into;
• any invoices they issue;
• their taxes and any related obligations;
• their compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Contractors are also solely responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the content they publish.
5. Client Responsibilities
Clients are solely responsible for:
• selecting contractors;
• verifying a contractor's suitability for their needs;
• any payments they make;
• any agreements they enter into;
• their event arrangements;
• their real-world interactions with contractors.
Because contractor and company information is provided by users and is not independently verified, clients should evaluate contractors carefully before hiring them.
6. Account Registration
Some features require an account. You may register or sign in using supported methods: email and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, maintain control of your account, update your information when needed, and notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You must not create fake or impersonation accounts, use another person's account, share your account with unauthorized persons, or create accounts to abuse reviews, referrals, ratings, moderation, or platform systems.
7. Guest Mode
Contactor offers a Guest Mode that provides limited, read-only access without an account. Guests can browse categories, search, view contractor profiles, view reviews, view photos, view PDF files, and view announcements and banners. Guests cannot add favorites, submit reviews, submit reports, create requests, contact contractors, create contractor listings, or access account-only functionality. Account-only actions open a login/access prompt. Guests must not attempt to write to user-specific data or bypass authentication. We may modify or withdraw Guest Mode features at any time.
8. Email Verification and Account Access
Some features require email verification, and we may limit access until your email is verified or your user record is valid. If your account data is incomplete, corrupted, or missing, we may require you to log out, re-authenticate, or use the account-recovery flow.
9. User Roles
Contactor uses roles such as user, contractor, manager, and admin, which determine access. Regular users do not have access to administration or moderation features. You must not attempt to change your role without authorization, access manager or admin tools without permission, moderate content unless authorized, or bypass role-based access controls.
10. User Responsibilities
You agree to use Contactor lawfully; provide accurate information; respect others; follow these Terms, the Safety Guidelines, and the Privacy Policy; upload only content you have the right to use; and keep your information updated. You agree not to upload false, misleading, harmful, illegal, or abusive content; impersonate others or Contactor staff; commit fraud; manipulate ratings, reviews, referrals, or statistics; harass or threaten others; scrape or misuse platform data; interfere with technical systems; or bypass moderation, security, or access controls.
11. Contractor Listings
Users may create contractor listings through the Contractor Wizard, which may include service name; business or personal service identity; category and subcategory; city and service area; description; experience; pricing and conditions; work schedule; languages; cancellation policy; contact information; social or messenger links; portfolio images; certificates; PDF files; and company or identity information where required. All listings are subject to moderation before publication. We may approve, reject, archive, hide, remove, or require changes to any listing.
12. Listing Statuses
Listings may have statuses: draft, pending, approved, rejected, and archived. Only approved, active listings are intended to be publicly visible. Draft, pending, rejected, inactive, or archived listings may be hidden from public search and profile views.
13. Creating and Editing Listings
When creating or editing a listing, you agree that all information is accurate; service details reflect real services; photos and documents are lawful and relevant; credentials are genuine; contact details are your own or authorized; and the listing complies with platform rules. Edits to an approved listing may be reviewed again before becoming public, and Contactor may keep a separate edit-draft version until moderation is completed.
14. Listing Moderation
Contractor listings are manually reviewed before publication. Contractor and company information is collected from users and is not independently verified. Any verification status shown on a profile may be assigned by moderators only after manual review. We may moderate listings and edits, including review of text, categories, filters, pricing, contact information, photos, certificates, PDF files, business information, suspicious behavior, and user reports. We may reject a listing that is misleading, incomplete, low quality, unsafe, illegal, copied, spammy, unrelated to event services, or in violation of these Terms or the Safety Guidelines. A rejection reason may be provided, but we are not obligated to provide detailed explanations in all cases.
15. Content Moderation Discretion
Contactor may, at its sole discretion, reject, hide, archive, suspend, remove, or refuse publication of any content, listing, review, reply, report, media file, or account at any time, with or without notice, when it considers this necessary or appropriate for:
• moderation;
• platform quality;
• safety;
• abuse prevention;
• legal compliance; or
• operational reasons.
We are not obligated to publish, display, or keep any content, and exercising or not exercising this discretion in one case does not waive our right to act in another.
16. Changes to Features and Availability
Contactor may add, change, limit, suspend, or remove platform features at any time, with or without notice. Features may be experimental, limited, regional, temporary, or changed before or after public launch. We do not guarantee the permanent availability of any feature.
17. User Content
“User Content” means any content you submit through Contactor, including profile data, listing data, descriptions, photos, gallery images, certificates, PDF files, reviews, ratings, business replies, reports, request messages, comments, contact information, and referral-related content. You are responsible for your User Content and confirm that you own it or have the necessary rights; that it does not violate the rights of others, the law, or platform rules; and that it is not fraudulent, harmful, or misleading.
18. License to User Content
By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, host, store, reproduce, display, process, modify for technical formatting, translate, and distribute that content as necessary to operate the platform, display profiles, show reviews and ratings, provide search and filtering, moderate content, send notifications, improve the service, and comply with legal obligations. This license ends when your content is deleted, except where content must remain for legal, safety, moderation, backup, anonymized, or platform-integrity reasons.
19. Reviews and Ratings
Users may leave reviews and ratings about contractors. Reviews must reflect genuine personal experience, be honest and fair, relate to the contractor's services, and comply with these Terms and the Safety Guidelines. You must not leave fake reviews, review your own listing, buy or sell reviews, coordinate review manipulation, harass or defame contractors, use reviews for spam, or include private personal data without consent. Reviews may be moderated, approved, rejected, deleted, or hidden.
20. Business Replies to Reviews
Contractors may reply to reviews. Replies must be professional, respectful, and relevant. We may remove replies that contain insults, disclose private data, threaten or pressure users, advertise unrelated services, or violate platform rules. Where available, replies may be editable only during a limited time period.
21. Requests, Leads, and Contractor Contact
Users may contact contractors through requests, which create a lead record with the client details and event information you provide, or through direct contact channels (phone, email, WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, LinkedIn). You must provide accurate contact details and use these features only for legitimate event-service inquiries. Owners must not send requests to, review, or report their own listings. We do not guarantee that any contractor will respond to or act on a request.
22. Reports and Complaints
Users may report contractor profiles, reviews, or other content. Reports may be used to investigate spam, fraud, incorrect information, offensive content, fake reviews, unsafe behavior, or other rule violations. Use reporting tools honestly; do not submit false, abusive, repeated, or competitive reports intended to unfairly harm another user. We may act on reports, including content removal, listing rejection, and account restriction, suspension, or termination.
23. Disputes Between Users
Contactor is not responsible for disputes between users, including disputes about service quality, pricing, cancellations, late arrivals, refunds, event outcomes, damages, contracts, offline meetings, or communications outside the platform. Users are responsible for resolving their own agreements and disputes. Contactor may investigate reports and suspected abuse and may take moderation or enforcement action, but is not obligated to mediate, arbitrate, or resolve disputes between users, and does not act as a court, arbitrator, insurer, employer, agency, or payment guarantor.
24. Favorites, Notes, and Recently Viewed Contractors
Contactor may let users save contractors to favorites, add personal notes, and view recently opened profiles. These features are for convenience and are linked to your account. We may remove favorites, notes, or recent-view entries if related profiles are deleted, inactive, unavailable, or no longer eligible for display.
25. Notifications
Contactor may send in-app and push notifications related to account activity, listing status, moderation results, review updates, client requests and leads, referral or bonus activity, announcements, and safety or system updates. Email and SMS notifications are not supported. You may mark notifications as read, delete them, or change your preferences. We do not guarantee that every notification is delivered instantly or successfully.
26. Referrals, Bonuses, Points, and Invite Features
Contactor may offer referral links, invite codes, bonus points, invite tickets, rewards, or similar features, which must be used honestly. You must not refer yourself, create fake accounts, use bots, manipulate email verification, abuse invite links, exploit referral rewards, or sell or transfer rewards unless expressly allowed. We may cancel rewards, remove points, invalidate tickets, or restrict accounts for abuse. Rewards, points, or tickets do not necessarily have cash value unless explicitly stated, and we may change or discontinue these features at any time.
27. No Circumvention of the Platform
You must not use Contactor in ways that undermine its purpose, safety, or functionality, including using hidden contact details to bypass platform flows; embedding contact information in images or files to avoid moderation; using QR codes or external links to evade platform rules; scraping user contact details; using platform data for unrelated marketing; or manipulating statistics, visibility, ratings, referrals, or moderation. This does not prevent normal communication where the platform allows contact.
28. Prohibited Content and Behavior
You must not create, upload, publish, share, or promote illegal, fraudulent, fake, hateful, harassing, threatening, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, exploitative, or misleading content; malware; phishing links; spam; stolen images; fake certificates; unauthorized personal data; intellectual-property-infringing content; or content that bypasses moderation or security. You must not hack or attempt to hack the platform, exploit bugs, bypass authentication or security rules, access data that does not belong to you, automate registrations or scraping, or interfere with platform operation.
29. Intellectual Property
Contactor — including its name, design, interface, software, branding, features, and structure — is owned by or licensed to its operator. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or exploit any part of Contactor except as allowed by law or with written permission. User Content remains owned by the submitting user, subject to the license in these Terms.
30. Third-Party Services
Contactor relies on third-party services, including Firebase, Google Cloud, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Storage, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, and app stores. These services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
31. App Store and Platform Rules
If you downloaded Contactor through an app store, your use may also be subject to that store's terms. You agree to comply with applicable Apple App Store, Google Play, device platform, and operating system rules.
32. Account Management
Users may edit account information; manage notification settings; manage contact preferences; manage favorites and notes; create and edit listings; archive listings; delete drafts; manage reviews or replies where allowed; and delete their account. Some actions may be limited by technical, legal, moderation, or safety requirements.
33. Account Deletion
You can delete your account directly in the app. When account deletion is confirmed, a secure backend function deletes your authentication account, your account data and personal user information, and your contractor profile if found, and removes contractor photos and PDF files from storage. Local app state is cleared and you are returned to the sign-in screen. Reviews remain on the platform and are anonymized so that user identifiers are removed while the rating and review content remain for platform integrity. After anonymization, a review no longer contains your user ID, user reference, avatar, or original display name, and your name may be shown as a generic label such as “Deleted User”. The handling of existing request and lead records after account deletion may differ depending on platform logic.
34. Data That May Remain After Account Deletion
Some information may remain where required or appropriate, including anonymized reviews, aggregate ratings and statistics, security logs, moderation records, legal or compliance records, backups for a limited period, and non-personal analytics. Deletion does not remove responsibility for previous violations, fraud, abuse, disputes, or illegal activity.
35. Moderation and Enforcement
We may enforce these Terms and the Safety Guidelines through actions including warnings, requesting corrections, rejecting listings or reviews, hiding or removing content, disabling features, invalidating referral rewards, restricting, suspending, or terminating accounts, blocking access, and reporting serious violations to authorities where required. We enforce these rules at our discretion based on severity, risk, user history, and platform safety.
36. Appeals
If you believe a moderation or enforcement decision was incorrect, you may contact us. We may review the decision but are not obligated to reverse it. To help us review, include your account email; relevant profile, review, report, or listing information; a clear explanation; and supporting evidence if available.
37. Service Availability
We try to keep Contactor available and functional but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, permanent availability of any feature, instant notification delivery, permanent storage of all content, or compatibility with every device or operating system. We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
38. No Professional Advice
Information on Contactor is provided by users and contractors. We do not provide legal, financial, tax, insurance, event-planning, or other professional advice. Independently verify important information before making decisions.
39. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Contactor is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that the platform will always be available; that all content is accurate; that all contractors are reliable; that all services meet expectations; that the platform is free from bugs, errors, or interruptions; or that all unsafe or misleading content is detected immediately.
40. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for actions or omissions of users; contractor service failures; disputes between users; inaccurate user content; lost profits or business opportunities; event losses; indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages; data loss caused by third-party services or user actions; unauthorized access caused by user negligence; or interruptions or technical errors outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is not allowed by law.
41. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Contactor and its operator harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the platform; your User Content; your violation of these Terms or the law; your violation of third-party rights; your services as a contractor; or your disputes with other users.
42. Termination
You may stop using Contactor at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or the Safety Guidelines; create safety risks; commit fraud; abuse referrals, reviews, or reports; or if your account creates legal, technical, or reputational risk. After termination, some provisions continue to apply, including those on User Content, account-deletion consequences, liability, indemnity, disputes, and enforcement.
43. Privacy and Safety Guidelines
Your use of Contactor is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and your rights, and our Safety Guidelines, which explain prohibited content and behavior, reporting, moderation, and safety expectations. Violation of the Safety Guidelines may also be treated as a violation of these Terms.
44. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we may notify users through the app, website, or other appropriate means. Continued use of the platform after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
